Persephone's Wolf is the first production of Sydney's newest independent theatre company Bambina Borracha Productions.

Combining a beautiful new script, an ancient myth, improvisation, live music, live Film Noir and line dancing with an interactive new media community art installation – Persephone's Wolf is a brave and hilarious experiment that will no doubt be a big fat breath of fresh air. Get ready for one of the most unique and wonderful pieces of theatre you will see in Sydney this summer!

What if this was the last play we could ever write? This was the spring board for co-writers and directors Zoe Norton Lodge and Cait Harris. Passionate and rigorous experimenters and collaborators, Norton Lodge and Harris have thrown themselves fearlessly into this project. And somewhere along the line, the project started to throw back. Persephone's Wolf is about people who are raised by animals, washed up actors from strange lands, mermaids, medical anomalies and fighting corruption interwoven in a juicy intercontinental, species non specific love story in the middle of nowhere. It is epic and original.

In order to get a stronghold on this beast, the company put a call out to amazing, diverse artists, to create the Community Art Installation component of Persephone's Wolf. Intended to pay homage to the myth of Persephone, this cutting edge new media installation becomes a wholly integrated part of the production. Oil painting, electrified constellations, sculpture, lawn mowers, linen, original music and educational videos about the solar system infuse with each other, and the play, to create a rich magical project created by Bambina Borracha Productions and the extended artistic community.
